PROJECT TITLE
Endline Evaluation for The Girls Education Challenge Project
• To enable CSU and other stakeholders gain understanding of what difference the CSU-GEC project has made.
• To log frame understanding of how the GEC project has made that difference, that is, understanding the key success factors for achieving long-term change for particular groups in different contexts.
• To capture what has been learnt and facilitate a process of critical analysis to celebrate success, challenge assumptions and ways of working, and explore areas that have been difficult.
To ascertain project impact on girls with disabilities, the end-line evaluation employed a cohort tracking approach where girls studied at midline were followed and interviewed. A quasi-experimental design was used, whereby two study groups, namely, the control and the treatment groups were studied. The treatment group was drawn from the 4 project implementation divisions of Nakawa, Kawempe, Rubaga and Central divisions, while the control group was drawn from Makindye division.
